I began teaching in 2000, and found my way to my current school in 2003. I have worked with all ages, Kindergarten through High School, but I prefer the middle years, like 5th and 6th grade. I have also taught in many settings, including:

- An expedition-based alternative high school
- A school specializing in the gifted population
- A summer camp in Mali
- A Buddhist boarding school in India
- A school for disabled youth in Samoa
- Homeschooling while traveling
- A summer enrichment program for Suburban youth
- A summer meals program for high risk youth
- A service-learning program for gifted high school students
